A production company built around the craft.

Caldwell Media is a video production company based in Townsville, working across North Queensland and further afield. We make commercials, brand films, branded content, documentary and music videos for businesses, agencies and brands.

The company is led by cinematographer Ashley Caldwell. Work is built around a small, experienced crew, usually a gaffer, grip and focus puller, which keeps the set calm and the decisions close to the camera.

We own our equipment rather than hiring it in. An ARRI Alexa Mini and Blackmagic PYXIS 12K, cinema and anamorphic lenses, a full lighting and grip package, tracking vehicles, car rigs and aerial systems. It means the setup is familiar, properly maintained, and there when the shoot calls for it.

Projects have included work for Google, Red Bull, Mazda, Harley-Davidson, Mack Trucks, John Deere, Caterpillar and Castrol, alongside documentary and narrative pieces closer to home.
